"School Harassment"
This is an old story, but I believe is a story that should be known to raise awareness of how harassment can happen anywhere and at any age. I was 16 and it occurred during a school field day where students could play outside, enjoy inflatable houses, or any sports (both indoors and out). A senior I thought was a friend attempted to kiss me without consent. I kept backing up not knowing what to do. He wouldn't stop trying even though I showed clear signs that I didn't want him near me. He ended up cornering me against the wall, and before he could get what he wanted a teacher finally showed up and intervened by telling us we couldn't be where we were, when in fact we could. It was clearly the only smart way to stop the boy at the time. Before the boy left, he got close to my ear and whispered, "you know you're a hoe right" and then left. I was visibly shaken. Teary eyed, I looked at the teacher and the look on his face showed he knew what the situation was and that he was simply trying to help. I finally was able to move and tried to find my friends but only ended up crying at the cafeteria table. They eventually found me. I clearly told them what happened, and they wanted to help, but I couldn't bring myself to name the perpetrator. To this day no one know who it was.
