On October 22nd a16yo trans teen reported that the group shouted anti-trans phrases at them while they punched, threw him against a tree, knocked him to the ground and kicked him in the head. The victim was able to run to Bellingham High and report the assault.
School officials did not call police or medical aid until after his mother arrived and insisted multiple times.
The assault left the 16yo with facial cuts, swelling and bruises; his mother reports he now suffers frequent headaches and memory loss.
A friend of the 16yo’s found the video of the attack on Instagram.
“This is not the first time we’ve had to deal with serious bullying within the [Bellingham School] district."
