"Harassing young children with a bullhorn "

I was in a small group of women and young girls eating our dinner outside in a quiet public area. A pro-Palestine rally had taken place there earlier, but everyone else from the rally had left. Two men from a Zionist counter protest approached us and began yelling and harassing us. They said horrible things directly to the children, insulting Palestinians and telling the kids not to grow up to become terrorists. They also made anti-Muslim remarks.

One of the men (a Christian Zionist) left briefly and returned with a bullhorn which he used to keep yelling and harassing us, getting very physically close to us.

There were other people nearby who could see and hear what was happening but nobody intervened. One woman asked us if we needed help, then took out her phone and went across the street. I’m not sure what she was doing.

We tried to stay where we were sitting for as long as we could, while shielding and comforting the children. We didn’t engage with the men but recorded some of the interaction. Eventually a couple of people from the rally came up and began engaging with the men. We packed up our food and left while the one man continued to yell after us with his bullhorn.
