    Web Logs

Like most standard website servers, we log IP addresses (a unique number assigned to every computer on the Internet) in order to improve security, analyze trends, and administer the platform. We may track your movement within the platform, the pages from which you were referred, access times, and browser types. This information may include the browser you are using, the Internet address from which you linked to our platform, the operating system of your computer, the unique IP address of the computer you used to access our platform, and usage and browsing habits. We use this combined information to gauge the effectiveness of our platform, track information for statistical purposes, help diagnose and troubleshoot server malfunctions, analyze trends, track combined user movement, and gather broad demographic information.

We use session cookies to only store login information in order to make it easier for you to access our platform.

  2. How We Use Your Information

    Incident Reporting

If you report an incident of online harassment on the platform, you have the option of keeping the report private, semi-private, or making the report public.

    • Semi-private cases will be made available to users of the platform, but not the public at large. If you choose to make the online harassment semi-private, the incident will be vetter by HeartMob staff before being approved.
    • Public cases are available to both users of the platform and the public at large(for off-site marketing, or use on the homepage of the platform). If you choose to make the online harassment public, the incident will be vetted by HeartMob staff before being approved.

We will use the information you provide to us to contact you only if you have given us permission to do so. We may also use details of the incident you reported in connection with law enforcement, non-governmental organizations, helplines, research, and/or other projects with your express permission to do so. This is for research purposes only, in order to learn more about the issue of online harassment.

    Legal Matters

When required by law (via court order or subpoena), we may access and disclose your information, any communications sent or received by you, and any other information that we may have about you or your account without your consent.
