"purposeful hateful 'stories' re Haitians put forth by Vance and Trump and others"

my family is multi -racial, Black [my son and brother] and {I as the matriarch and my adult children are Mestizo LatinX {Native American and Spanish}], my grandchildren from Taiwan, and Diné [Navajo] and Northern Cheyenne and Lakota tribes.

My son who is an honorable police officer is Black and is the president of the Black Police Officers Union in Denver. My son is also Haitian. It is enough for our large family and cohort of friends to fear for him daily as a peace officer, enough to fear for him with reason daily because he is Black and the opprorium he receives from some of the public who are of a different race... and now because he is Haitian and speaks Creole-French and also speaks English with an accent, we are starting to deal with the inhumanity of some who have taken up the falsehood about Haitian immigrants in Ohio stealing neighbors pets and killing and eating them.

This hate narrative is not about Ohio, for it has spread like wildfire across the entire nation. I cannot tell you the heartache and sorrow to see innocents purposely and with preplanned intent, being harmed by people whether at the border of our Mexico and USA with trying to whip and rout innocents who were merely trying to bring purchased food to their frightened families under a concrete hot bridge at the border, or this most recent.

It is scurrilous to see some of high office [a senator and past president] purposely create a story that frightens both innocents who have never stolen anyone's pets for any reason, nor broken any law, who are merely often hopeful but also already injured souls trying to live their best lives under duress and in all good will.

The story of hope in all this egregious untruthful lying that endangers innocent others, is this: My Black Haitian son said to me yesterday, 'Mommie we go onward: for [this is an old saying in french Creole: "God is good... ALL the time." We know hate does not cure hate. We will practice all the Good we know... "

[My son was security detail for Nelson Mandela when he visited Canada, and worked on the pile at 9-11 for a year to help retrieve the souls buried there. He became ill with a chronic disease from the pollution of the fallen trade towers. Yet my son continues onward in his works, striving toward goodness and mercy. So, two hopeful narratives. Thank you for listening.
